MoU Signing Ceremony between Chattogram University and Academy of Garments Technology Bangladesh (GarmentTechBD)
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed between Chattogram University and the Academy of Garments Technology Bangladesh (GarmentTechBD) to strengthen collaboration in education, training, and research initiatives for the apparel and textile industry.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at Le Méridien Dhaka, bringing together distinguished leaders from both academia and industry.
The signing ceremony was graced by Professor Dr. Muhammad Yeahia Akhter, Vice-Chancellor of Chattogram University, along with Dr. Mohammad Saiful, Registrar, and Mr. Masum, Assistant Registrar. Several distinguished faculty members from Chattogram University also joined the occasion, highlighting the university’s commitment to fostering academic–industry partnerships.
From GarmentTechBD, Dr. Henry Soo and Project Leader Md. Panna Rahman were present, adding significant value to the program through their vision for industry-driven education and global collaboration.
This MoU aims to create opportunities for joint training programs, capacity building, skill development initiatives, research collaborations, and knowledge exchange between academia and the garment industry. Both institutions expressed optimism that this partnership will contribute to producing skilled professionals aligned with the needs of the global apparel sector.
